Software Developer

We are seeking a Software Developer to architect, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure and backend microservices that power Risley's licensed technology platforms. This role is responsible for designing container orchestration layers that enable our products to scale elastically, ensuring high availability across globally distributed deployments. The position requires deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and DevOps practices to meet the performance and reliability standards defined in our client service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement container orchestration layers using Docker and Kubernetes to support elastic scalability
  • Architect and develop backend microservices for high-throughput, low-latency data processing
  • Build and maintain cloud-agnostic infrastructure with optimizations for AWS
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and data consistency across globally distributed deployments
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with forward-deployed engineering teams to integrate licensed technologies into client environments
  • Contribute to technical documentation, architecture reviews, and code quality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field (required)
  • Strong proficiency in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS)
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts and designing for reliability at scale
  • Experience designing and operating microservices architectures at scale
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python, TypeScript)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD tooling, and observability platforms

Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries
  • Support payroll processing and tax filings
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
